The Stamp Man Challenge 28 - Show us some Stitching

I turned my craft room inside out and upside down this week looking for this Elusive Images stamp for The Stamp Man Challenge!

I stamped it onto some navy card but using a nestie shape and embossed it in silver using WOW Powders. I then used Anchor embroidery silks to stitch the flowers and finished off with pearls and gems for the flower centres. I used a silver Krylon pen to edge the navy card and mounted this onto a white A5 card. I just added some dotty ribbon and dotty card candy in pale blue to finish off as I wanted to keep this one simple.

Nativity

I used the largest Nestability circle to cut the base for this card and then scored and folded it in half. I then used a slightly smaller scalloped circle to cut two different colours of card for the first layer of the topper. The scene was cut out using one of the smaller circles and I used a sheet of Joanna Sheen's Messy Rabbit backing paper for this.

I then stamped the characters using the Crafters Companion Christmas Blessings stamp set and coloured these using Whispers Brushstroke pens to make a change from my Promarkers.

I'm entering this card for the following two challenges:

Bah Humbug 28 - Shapes
CHNC 29 - Seeing Stars

CD Sunday Challenge - Nautical

I thought I'd start with this saying that popped into my mind while posting this.

There are tall ships and there are small ships but the best ship of all is friendship.

This week at CD Sunday they are all at sea with a nautical theme.

I started by printing this picture of a sailing ship from the Vintage Transport CD by Robert Addams. I matted this onto some black card. I then remembered that I had this rubber stamp by Rubbadubbadoo in my craft room. I stamped it all over some blank paper using a Big and Juicy ink pad to make the backing paper and finished off with some buttons.

Christmas in July

I've used The Snowman CD by Crafter's Companion for this card. The oval and banner are Spellbinder dies.

I'm entering this one for the following challenges:

CD Sunday Challenge - Handbags

I've made this card for CD Sunday's Challenge this week where the theme is handbags.

I used a stamp by Me & Carrie Lou and stamped this twice once onto the backing paper and once onto some cream card which I embossed in gold WOW powder for the top of the bag. The string of beads are from my stash along with the brad which finishes off one of the fabulous flowers from Debs CD.

The backing papers and flower are from Debbees new CD Paper Flower Boutique.

Sunday 10 July 2011

Another one for the Christmas Stash

The backing paper is from Crafters Companion A Winter's Tale. I've coloured a House Mouse image using Promarkers and added a snowy sparkle using Flowersoft Polar White and then sprinkled with fine glitter. I used the same fine glitter around the edge of the image before mounting onto card that matches the base card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges this week:

Stampalot July- Anything Goes
Bah Humbug - Meeces
My Time to Craft - A La Carte
CHNC - Spots before your eyes

I've been playing in the sugar bowl again and used Erika's sketch and the Sugar Nellie stamp "Luv a Latte".

For the backing paper and the flowers I've used a new CD called Paper Flower Boutique by Debbees CDs. There are some lovely things on this CD.

All finished off with some Marianne Dies flourishes, ribbon and brads.

Friday Bath Night

I've used nestie dies to cut the octagonal shapes. The House Mouse image has been coloured using Promarkers.

The spotty backing paper is a 12x12 sheet that I've had in my stash for at least a couple of years but I've finally plucked up the courage to cut into it!

Snow Lady

I started by printing a backing paper from a very old CD that I haven't looked at for years (!) It is from Chris's Paperworx Christmas WOW Backing Papers. Hands up anyone who has one of these lol!

I stamped the snow lady and coloured in using Promarkers before cutting out and adding glitter. The stamp is called Alice by Inca Stamp.

I then took a piece of white silk art card and created some colour using Tim Holtz alcohol inks and blending solution. Once this had dried I then used an embossing folder and my Cuttlebug. I cut some snowflakes out of acetate and pink card and held these together with a snowflake brad. To finish off I mounted a greeting onto acetate and cut it out. I then used clear sticky pads to attach it to the card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Bah Humbug - 26 Acetate
CD Sunday - Christmas is Calling
CHNC - 27 Pink/Purple
The Stamp Man - Alcohol Inks and a sketch

I've taken a digi image from Cuddly Buddly and coloured with Promarkers. The backing papers are from my stash. The paper flowers are over stamped with a little cupcake image I have and the fork and spoon are die cuts. I used my sewing machine to stitch the backing papers together.
