It's Tea Time at CD Sunday

As it's Tea Time I used a template of a tea pot for the base of my card. I then used MCS with A Very Important Date and MCS C&C Floral for the BP to create the image for my tea pot. I used the BP to make the matching cup and saucer to go with it. The DT at CD Sunday this week have some lovely inspiration for you so why not go on over and take a look.  We still have our guest DT member, Kevin with us too.

Why not pop the kettle on while you think up a lovely design to share with us this week.

CD Sunday - Awash with Flowers

I had a lovely day out at the craft show at Sandown Race Course in Surrey yesterday and the sun shone all day. I just hope that today is as nice because dear friends of ours are celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

Its also a new week at CD Sunday and this time our theme, chosen by Carol, is Awash with Flowers. I've used an image and backing paper from Joanna Sheen's If Flowers Could Talk CD and as the words are about music I used a couple of Marianne dies to continue the musical theme. I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs and seeing lots of flowers and floral inspired designs.

To join in just remember to use something from a CD on your work and tell us which one/s you used. :-)

CD Sunday - Feline Friends

I'm a bit late posting today as we have been away over night helping celebrate a 60th birthday.

Anyway on to the challenge this week at CD Sunday and Beryl has chosen our theme this week - Feline Friends, so I hope you have fun with this one.

I've used an image and backing papers from a new CD by Cupcake called Magical Christmas Moments . There are some lovely images of all sorts of animals that are ideal for all the Christmas cards we all need to make.

I started by covering a 7" x 7" card with a muted backing paper from the CD. I then took a coordinating backing paper in CAP and added the main image. I then played around with adding some words and the row of stockings changing the colour to fit my design. I then printed it out and matted onto some cordinations card stock and attached to my card. I've used a Marianne die for the pine branch and added some ribbon to finish my card.

I hope you join in and enjoy our challenge this week.

Birthday Boy

For this card I started with a 7" x 7" card. I then printed off one of the sheets from "The Big One Decoupage CD Rom" which gives a back ground and some decoupage. I cut some acetate so that it fitted the front of my card with enough down the left hand side so that I could wrap it around the back of the base card and attach it with double sided tape. I matted the background onto some card that I had punched using a Martha Stewart border punch and put this on the front of the card underneath the acetate. I then cut out the decoupage of the chap sitting on the barrel. There are two views, front and back so I layered the front view onto the front of the acetate and then added the rear view onto the inside of the acetate (see below).

I then added the sparkly numbers as this is for a big birthday and edged the acetate with the same colour so that it stands out.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Crafty Sentiments - Male card
DYSU - Birthdays

Thank you for looking.

Look what I spotted

Here is a card that I was asked to make for a friend to give to her husband. I started by creating an octagon card base on a scoring board and then used different papers and card to make the smaller layers to mat the main image on. The main image came from Joanna Sheen's Nostalgia Collection CD. The spotty backing paper accompanies this image on the CD. I finished by cutting out a couple of old railway tickets from a backing paper by Robert Addams on his Vintage Transport CD.

I'm entering the following challenges with this one:

Joanna Sheen - Going Dotty
Allsorts - Layers
Cutie Pie - No flowers
Tuesday Alchemy - Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments - Male Card

Thank you for looking.

CD Sunday Need for Speed

Good morning, another bright sunny one here. This week our theme is Need for Speed.

I've used the following CDs to create my card:

The white rabbit is decoupaged over a Tim Holtz die, weathered clock. I added a couple of tags stamped onto kraft card and then attached them using a brad and bakers twine.

There is lots of lovely inspiration over at the CD Sunday Challenge blog by our guest for this month, Kevin as well as my follow teamies.

I hope you have lots of fun with our challenge this week and look forward to visiting your blogs.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:

CD Sunday Allsorts

We have a sponsor this week at CD Sunday

so a prize is on offer for one lucky person.

We have a new guest for this month and we are lucky to have  Kevin joining us. If you would like to see more of Kevin's great work do visit his blog.

For my card this week I used the CD Twelve Crafters Crafting by Funky Hand and had great fun using all the lovely backing papers and images on the CD. I printed off the background bauble paper and used some spray & sparkle by Crafter's Companion to give it some glitz. I used a Spellbinder bauble die to cut a window in the plain green card (it's the new shape for 2012). I then cut two different backing papers into strips so that I could do some paper weaving and then matted this onto some gold mirri card. I printed out the robin and holly from the CD. I used two images of the robin so that I could decoupage him slightly and then added some glitter. I used card candi for the holly berries and then die cut the poinsetta using gold mirri, the bauble backing paper and some green card with card candi in the centre.

There is lots of inspiration for you this week using a variety of CD's from Funky Hand to get you started. Our theme is Allsorts so I am sure you will have all sorts of ideas to join in our challenge. Just remember to use something from a CD in your design and don't forget to mention which CD you have used.
