CD Sunday - Beautiful Blue

Our theme this week at CD Sunday is Beautiful Blue so we would love to see lots of lovely blue creations this week. I've made a wedding card using papers from Crafters Companion Love CD. I've used lots of punches and dies to achieve a lacy effect. I thought I'd add a feather too as I haven't used feathers on a card for ages (and I've got quite a big box of them!)

CD Sunday - Poetry Corner

I enjoyed visiting your blogs for our Autumn Splendour challenge last week. We had some lovely entries again.

Its Sunday again so here we go with a new challenge for a new week.

Our Theme this week at CD Sunday is 'Poetry Corner' and this image from Joanna Sheen's CD In Other Words just caught my imagination and appealed to my slightly quirky sense of humour.

Here is another version along the same lines using the same image to make a very different card:

I took the image this time into CAP and added the puss cat  to make a label for the bottle (he looks  remarkably like my Bramble).

Anyway I hope you will join us this week with poems, rhymes and such like. Let your imagination run wild just remember to use something from a cd as part of your design and don't forget to tell us which CD you used.

CD Sunday - Autumn Splendour

Another week at CD Sunday and the weather is starting to turn towards the end of the year so our theme this week of Autumn Splendour will hopefully give you lots of inspiration from all around.

I chose to use one of the lovely images from Enchanted CD Card Creations Plus which has the artwork of the very talented Linda Ravenscroft. (Wish I could draw like that!)

I decided to make a criss cross card and have used a matching backing paper from the CD to cover my card. The main image was mounted onto some lilac card first. I then embossed some pumpkin coloured cordinations card using a pumpkin design.

I hope you all enjoy this 'Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness'  and join us in our challenge this week. Just remember to use something from a CD and mention which one you have used in your post.

Birthday for a Golfer

I used a Popcorn rubber stamp on a shape cut using a spellbinders die. I used distress inks in Mown Grass and Tumbled Glass for the background. The ink was applied using Inkylicious brushes . The backing paper is from the coordinating CD from Crafters Companion Popcorn the Bear triple CD.

I'm entering this in the Birthday Challenge on Crafters Companion Blog this month as part of their birthday celebrations.

CD Sunday - Christmas

Good morning everyone. I'm late posting today as we have the grandchildren staying for the weekend and my normal routines have been disrupted slightly!!!!

There is lots of news this week before I tell you about my card. Firstly we  must say a very big thank you to last months guest, Kevin, who made some fantastic cards for us.

There is also some sad news as we are losing one of our founder team members. Wendy M was the one who had the idea for this challenge blog and was instrumental in setting it up.  Wendy used to challenge herself to do a cd card every Sunday and this is where the idea and the choice of day came from. Thank you from me for the opportunity to be part of such a lovely team Wendy.  I join my fellow teamies in wishing you well in new ventures and look forward to seeing you in blog land.

As this is the start of another month (where does the time go?) we have another guest with us, Sue and we have an amazing card from her to start off the month so I hope you will join me in welcoming her to our happy team.

We have a sponsor for our challenge this week as it's the first Sunday in the month. Caroline of Carolines Digi Stamps, has has offered a prize of a digi kit of the winner's choice so I hope you will join in and be in with the chance of winning.

We were each given one of the Christmas Digi kits and this is what I have used to produce my design for this week.

The folder I had to work with was Happy Hollydays. I used all the elements in CAP and then added a backing paper, punched around the page with a Martha Stewart snowflake design and mounted the whole thing onto a 7 x 7 card. The only other thing I added was the gingham bow.

I hope you like it and I can't wait to see what you make for us this week with our theme of Christmas. xx
