CD Sunday - Inspired by Nature

This week at CD Sunday it was my turn to chose the theme so I picked 'Inspired by Nature'. I hope that gives you lots of ideas for inspiration. My fellow teamies and our lovely Guest DT member Pauline from Crafting with Cotnob  have come up with some lovely things for you to look at.

For my card I used an 8 x 8 base and matted and layered some backing paper from Flower Fairies Friends Fairies of the Garden CD by Crafters Companion. I used the Canterbury Bell rubber stamp and coloured her in using my Spectrum Noir pens in the following colours:

Leaves:  DG1, DG2
Skin: FS1, FS2, FS5
Stamen in flower: GB1
Petals: HB1, HB2, LV1, LV2
Clothes and Wings: PP1, PP2, PL1

Glitter (of course)

I used Distress Inks around the edge of the image. I then used my Marianne dies to cut out the words and lilac flowers. The white flower is a Spellbinder die.

I do hope you will join our challenge this week. The weather outside is awful so we might as well stay home and craft :-).

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenge:

CD Sunday - Layer it up

Its a new week and this time our challenge at CD Sunday is Layer it up. Lots of scope for you to get your CDs out and show us lots of lovely layers.

As we are getting near to Christmas and I haven't made nearly enough cards I thought I'd go with a Christmas theme for my card this week.

I used Crafters Companion Cute Companions Winter Tales CD for the background scene. I then used some cordinations card and a spellbinder die to cut a frame which I passed through an embossing folder and sanded. To this I have added Stamped images from Cute Companions coloured with alcohol pens. The tree and lamp are Marianne die cuts and the snow flakes are layers of punched out snowflakes in different coloured papers. I then layered the whole lot onto silver mirri card before adding it to my base card.

My teamies this week have lots of lovely ideas for you this week so do go and have a look.

CD Sunday - Rainy Days

We had lots of lovely interpretations of last week's theme - Christmas in Pink. I must apologise if I haven't commented on your blog but I have been away at the NEC this week. I will be back later today and will have a catch up once I've unpacked.

Jenny has chosen our theme at CD Sunday  for this week which is Rainy Days. Very appropriate at the moment as we have had a lot of those!

I used a 6 x 6 Kraft card for my base. The two backing papers I've used are from Faye Whittaker  (top) and
House Mouse Inserts  (bottom) both CDs are by  Joanna Sheen. My topper is from a sheet of decoupage I've had for ages and is a Mabel Lucie Attwell character. I finished off with some die cut umbrellas.

I hope you enjoy looking at the things my fellow teamies have come up with and feel inspired to join in. xx

Say it with Flowers

I've used a Popcorn stamp that I have coloured using the following Spectrum Noir pens:

TN3, TN2, TN1, DG1, DG2, DG3, HB1, HB2, PL1, EB1, EB2, EB4, GB6, BT1, OR2, LY1

The backing paper is from Popcorn the Bear CD. I then used some cordinations card embossed with a Sheena Douglas embossing folder and sanded lightly over the top. The sentiment is taken from one of the Souffle stamp sheets and embossed with Wow powder. The die cut leaves and flowers are Marianne dies and I've added lace, ribbon and a flower charm to finish.

I'm entering this card in the Spectrum Noir Challenge - Flowers

CD Sunday Christmas in Pink

As it is a new month we have another lovely sponsor with us this week at CD Sunday. Dreamees have chosen our theme of Christmas in Pink and have a prize to give to the winner this week so I hope you will join in our challenge for the start of November. Let's see how pink you can go!

I'm doing this post quickly as we have the grandchildren with us this weekend but might get more time later today. :-)

I've just got a few minutes so I thought I'd come on and give you a few more details about this week's challenge.

Our sponsor this week is a fairly small company who do cd's, stamps all with original artwork so their web site is worth a visit. Dreamees are offering a prize of a cd from their £9.99 range to our winner and as the files we are working with have come from their cd Christmas Memories hopefully you will get a small taste of the kind of thing you can expect.

We have a new guest joining us this month,  Pauline from Crafting with Cotnob  I do hope you will visit her blog and enjoy looking at the beautiful things she creates.
