Bah Humbug 17 - Pleats and Ruffles

The Bah Humbug challenge for this week is Pleats and Ruffles and I've used a Joanna Sheen messy Rabbit stamp to make this card.

Playing with Photos

I've been having a play with some photos I took yesterday on a trip to Wisley RHS with friends. We had a lovely day and took lots of pics. Here is what I have done with a couple of the ones I took using Lavina stamps.
The one of the right is a photo of the waterfall inside the greenhouse with all the tropical plants. I was particularly pleased with the way the falling water came out. I felt it just cried out for little pixies playing in the water.

Bah Humbug 15- Christmas Stockings

As soon as I saw the challenge at Bah Humbug this week I knew I just had to use this stamp. I've stamped it onto white card and embossed it in gold using WOW powders. I then stamped the stockings onto different backing papers and cut them out and attached over the top of the stamped image. I also found some backing paper that had Christmas stockings on it to use as the background.

Cupcake 137 - Doctors and Nurses

The Cupcake Crafts challenge this week is Doctors and Nurses and I've used this sweet SWALK image from Crafters Companion to make my card.

LOTV Challenge 91 - Peach and Green

This week at LOTV the challenge is Peach and Green. I've used a deep edge punch around the page punch from Martha Stewart and dies from Marriane Design for the leaves and some of the flowers. The image was coloured using Promarkers.

Sugar Nellie Challenge 57 - Maria Therese's Sketch

This is the card I made playing in the Sugar Bowl this week. I've used a Marianne die to mount the image on and a MS punch for the background. The colours for the challenge, along with the sketch were Purple and Green.

CD Sunday Challenge - A Song in my Heart

CD Sunday's challenge this week is "A Song in my Heart". I've used two backing papers and some card embossed with music score using a Cuttlebug to make the patchwork background. The papers and the main image come from Joanna Sheen's The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady CD. I used my Hougie Board to measure the squares for the patchwork. I was quite pleased with how the background turned out and might use this again on another project.

Bah Humbug 14- Candy Canes

For the challenge over at Humbug Hall this week I've used cardio stamps and a backing paper from Robert Addams CD Santas, Snowmen, Angels.

Sir Stampalot April 2011 Challenge

This month's challenge from Sir Stampalot is Ladies and Fashion. I chose this image from Hampton Art Stamps which I stamped onto plain white card using a black Versafine ink pad. The border is made using a deep edge punch around the page from Martha Stewart which I bought at the NEC last month.

Cupcake 136 - Comedy Rocks

For the Cupcake Crafts Challenge this time I've used a stamped image and sentiment from the Murray & Ethel stamp sheet by Creative Expressions that I feel says it all!

CD Sunday Challenge - Someone Special

The theme this week over at CD Sunday is "Someone Special" so I thought I'd make one for the boys this time.

I've used an image and backing papers from Robert Addams Vintage Transport CD. It's nice to be able to re-visit some of the CDs that have been in my collection for a while, and this one is no exception. I decided to try a gatefold easel card for this project.

I started by taking the main image into word where I resized it to fit my card. I then copied it and flipped the second image for the inside.

Bah Humbug 13- Giggle and a touch of tartan

Bah Humbug this week are looking for things that make us giggle and this stamp of three wise cats has always been a favourite of mine. :-)

LOTV Challenge 90 - Spring

The theme at LOTV this week is Spring. I've used my latest (and favourite) doily die to mount the lovely fairy image on. I've added a touch of glitter as all fairies need some sparkle.

Sugar Nellie Challenge 56 - Kiki's Sketch

I've been playing in the sugar bowl over at Sugar Nellie this week, where we have a lovely sketch from Kiki. There was an optional theme of PINK so it just had to be done!

Cupcake 135 - Flowers for Mum

I've stamped a Cuddly Buddly image and done some paper piecing for this week's challenge over at Cupcake Crafts. With it being Mother's Day tomorrow the theme was Flowers for Mum.
