Backing paper from Robert Addams Christmas Trees CD Reindeer Stamp by Graphicus fir tree branch Marianne die Nested bauble 2011 from Spellbinders Wow silver embossing powder
This is my card for the Bah Humbug challenge this week.
Here's one I did just for fun at CD Sunday this week.
I've used a backing paper and image from Joanna Sheen's Hollywood Vintage CD. The bird cage is a Marianne die and I've just added a bow and some card candy to finish off.
..... MUM. A friend asked me to make an 80th birthday card for her Mum. She loves daffodils so this image and backing paper from Joanna Sheen's Elegant Fans CD was just perfect. It fits nicely on an 8x8 card which is my favourite size of card at the moment.
This is for the 'M' challenge over at CD Sunday this week.
As luck would have it the new Spellbinder dies I had ordered arrived today and I've used the new Christmas Ornament die on my card for this week at Bah Humbug.
I used the largest ornament shape and also the second largest square from the set of grand spellbinder dies and passed this once through the Grand Calibur to cut the two shapes so that I had an apperture to do my paper weaving. I then mounted it onto gold mirri card and then on to an 8x8 square card and finished off with a gold bow. For the weaving I used a combination of some pretty gold and white paper from Crafters Companion and a sheet of gold Kings Foils that is embossed with the words Merry Christmas.
I really enjoyed making this card and might try something similar for a few other designs, so thank you to the ladies at Bah Humbug for the inspiration but not for the photograph of Incey!!
On the 13th September 12 stamps and a twin CD set will be launched on Ideal World as Pick of the Day.
As part of Crafters Companion's launch celebrations, they are offering the chance to win the full Humphrey range - that's the twin CD and all twelve stamps! All you need to do is visit their blog to find out how.
I made this card for the CD Sunday Challenge this week using Peacock Summer Party CD.
I've used the following:
Peeled Paint distress ink around the edges of the backing paper,
Marianne dies for the swirls,
Spellbinders die for the banner
Happy Birthday stamp by Lili of the Valley
Ribbon, lots of gems and flowers. :-)
