Hello Doily - CD Sunday

It's my turn this week at CD Sunday to choose the theme for our challenge ........... so the challenge is Hello Doily. Please feel free to interpret however you like, just remember to use something from a CD in your creation and mention in your blog which CD it is from.

Here is my card for this week:

The backing paper and image are from Joanna Sheen's Fashion Boutique CD. I've matted and layered onto black card and added some black lace and gems. I've also used a real doily cut in half behind the main image.

I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs to see what you do with our theme this week.

Forever in Blue Jeans - CD Sunday

We have snow! This is the first serious fall we have had and it is still coming down. It was only toying with us earlier in the week but this time it looks like it means business. On the plus side it is a very good excuse for staying in the warm and crafting. :-)

For our challenge at CD Sunday this week the theme is Forever in Blue Jeans and I'm sure you will have lots of ideas for this one. My fellow teamies and our GDT Sue from Sue's Crafty Corner have come up with lots of different ideas for you so do please go and take a look at their blogs.

For my card this week I used two CDs! Robert Addams Vintage Transport CD for the Denim backing paper and Mimic Creations CD by The Card Hut to create the main image. If you haven't seen this CD is it a fun one to play with as it has cartoon images of some of our favourite TV and film characters that can be used to create unique images for crafting. I used the characters from Top Gear for my card. The frame is also a feature of the CD. I then layered it and the backing paper onto silver mirri card but unfortunately the scan makes it look black. I then used a Spectrum Noir pen to colour some card candi and used a Marianne die for the Happy Birthday.

Vintage Vogue - CD Sunday

It's a new challenge at   CD Sunday  this week and I've used Debbi Moore Designs Glitter & Glitz Magic Moments CD for the backing paper and main image for my card.

I started with an 8 x 8 card and used an embossing folder from Crafter's Companion to make the frame. I used a craft knife to carefully cut slits in the corners so that I could fit in the backing paper which I sprayed with Spray & Sparkle gold.  I used a Glitter Girls embossing board and some black card to make the main shape and added panels of the backing paper. I then used some of my peel off mountain to outline the panels and mounted my main image of the elegant lady. I then sat and patiently glued each of the pearls around the frame and they weren't self adhesive. Obviously I had too much time on my hands that day!

I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs to see what you make this week.

With the weather the way it is it's a good opportunity to stay in the warm and craft.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
