It's my turn to choose the theme for this week's challenge at CD Sunday Challenge Blog and as it is Chinese New Year on Friday and it will be the year of the horse that will be perfect for our challenge. So many ways you could go with this.
Here is my card:
I've used an image and backing paper from Joanna Sheen's Times Gone By CD that I've matted and layered onto blue card and then mounted onto a 7 x 10 card. I stamped and heat embossed with silver three horseshoes and cut these out to put on foam pads and add to my card. I platted some bakers twine and tied a bow and then added a silver mirri die cut happy birthday.
I do hope you will have fun with this challenge.

Here Kitty Kitty
It's my friend Kat's birthday tomorrow and I needed to make a card for her so how appropriate that Team A at Cd Sunday have the theme Here Kitty Kitty chosen by Sue B this week!
I have used used a Crafters Companion CD called Everyday with Barkley for my card. The only extra thing I have added is a die cut banner from Joanna Sheen's Signature Dies and some silver coloured paper to mat the greeting and main design onto. I wanted to keep this one as flat as possible so that it can go in the post.

Tantalizing Turquoise
Wendy has chosen the theme for Team Two this week at CD Sunday which is Tantalizing Turquoise. I think it is a fab colour and hopefully everyone will have lots of ideas for this one.
I used a CD called "Here Come the Girls" from Creative Crafting World. It is fast becoming my favourite with lots of lovely backing papers to compliment the main images. It also has digi images so for people like me who love colouring it is the best of both worlds!
Here is the card:
I printed off a sheet of the digi images and have used the following Spectrum Noir pens to colour her:
GT1, GT3, BT1, BT2, BT3, BT4, BT5, BT7, FS1, FS4
I have used two of the coordinating backing papers from the CD. I put one of the backing papers in an embossing folder from Crafter's Companion and then rubbed colour from a Distress Ink pad on top to highlight the embossed images. I then die cut some swirls and a butterfly and finished off with some paper flowers, gems and ribbon.
Having done that I thought it would be nice to decorate one of the gift bags I bought from Creative Crafting World in readiness for my friend's birthday.
I used a sheet of turquoise paper from my stash to cover both sides of the bag and then decorated the front using the same ribbon, paper flowers, some of the left over backing paper and another coloured digi image.
I hope this has given you some ideas and that you will go over to CD Sunday Challenge Blog and see the lovely things my fellow teamies have done. I look forward to visiting your blog and seeing more Tantalizing Turquoise.
PS, don't forget to use something from a CD and to let us know which CD you have used. :-)

Tickled Pink
We are splitting into two DT teams this year at CD Sunday but in support of Team 1 this week I have made this card using Card Creations Art Deco CD. Christine is kicking off 2014 with Tickled Pink as her choice for this week's challenge. I've used a sprinkling of pink glitter on the image and then added die cut leaves, a couple of pink feathers and two shades of pink ribbon.
I've a friend with a birthday coming up soon and this will be perfect for her.
Why not check out the fab designs Team 1 have for you this week at CD Sunday.
