Floral Frenzy

It's Wynn's turn to choose the theme at CD Sunday Challenge Blog and this time it's Floral Frenzy.

I've used Popcorn The Bear Floral CD by Crafter's Companion for my card. I used a new die to cut out the double stepper base card (for anyone who cannot resist on-line shopping I got it from Ruby Red Crafts http://rubyredcrafts.com/product/brand-new-stepper-die-12115/ ). The leaves are a Sue Wilson die and the roses along the front of the card are ribbon roses that I've had in a big tub for ages.

While its cold outside why not stay in the warm and join our challenge. I'm looking forward to seeing a huge floral frenzy in blog land very soon.

A tag card - 6 x 3

Christine has chosen the theme for us at CD Sunday this week and it is a tag card. There are some wonderful ones to see over on the CD Sunday Challenge Blog so do go and have a look.

Here is my tag -

I used Vintage Floral Collection CD by Crafter's Companion to make my tag and all the images are from that CD. I just used some lace, ribbon and a few gems, glitter and glaze to finish it.

I then decided to use my tag on a birthday card for a friend.

Things with Wings

I started with a shaving foam background to stamp the bird onto which I then coloured using Spectrum Noir pencils. I covered the bird with a mask and added some weathered wood distress ink to give a shadow effect. I then masked off  a border and stamped the feather stamp. I used a mixture of scattered straw and spiced marmalade distress ink to add some colour and then the pencils again on the feathers. Once I had stamped the sentiment I matted and layered onto orange and brown card.

I am entering this in the Clarity Stamp Challenge No. 23 - Things with Wings.

Animal Antics

This week is Jenny's turn to choose a theme at CD Sunday and she has chosen Animal Antics for us. If you pop over to the CD Sunday Challenge Blog you will see what all the animals my fellow teamies chose have been getting up to.

I used two CDs for my card this time. Furry Friends from Joanna Sheen for the main image, which made me smile and Bebunni Floral Collection from Crafter's Companion for the backing paper. I then ran the backing paper through an embossing folder from Crafter's Companion to give a knitted effect. I think it's stocking stitch!

The die framing the image is from Marianne dies, the leaves are Sue Wilson and the flowers are Cheery Lynn.

Trees with Clarity

I'm entering this card in the Clarity Stamp Challenge which this month is Trees.

I used my gelli plate, a stencil and moon mask to create the background and used the boy stamp and one of the word chains. I used the round blending tool to add a bit more depth to the edges and a white pencil to highlight the tree branches. I then just mounted it onto black card and then onto a white 8 x 8 card blank.

Winter Walks

I think I will be needing a few Winter Walks to blow the cobwebs away and get over all the food over Christmas.

Here is my card for our Winter Walks theme at CD Sunday this time. Carol has chosen this time around and what a lovely theme for this time of year.

I've used the following two CDs.

A Touch of Elegance by Creative Crafting World (main image)
Beatrix Potter A Winter's Tale by Crafter's Companion (backing paper)
with a die cut from Memory Box and a few gems.

Just a little early but I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and lots of crafting in 2015.

Stamp, Stamp, Stamp!

I can't believe it's two weeks since our last CD Sunday Challenge but it is time for me to pick my top three and get on with my post for the new challenge.

Here is my card for Sue's choice of Stamp it.

I used Cute Companions Winter Tales for my background scene and then stamped lots of characters from the matching stamp sets and coloured them in. The greeting is also from the same stamp sets. It was a great excuse to add lots of glitter too.

I do hope you will find time to join in this challenge with Christmas getting ever closer and so much still to do. I had foolishly thought I was all organised and ready but looking around here at all I still have to do it would appear not.

Congratulations to Shaz for winning our spot prize and I will be back next time with my top three, don't forget to check on the CD Sunday blog to see if you are the lucky one as I have a little something to send to the winner of my top three.

You will find the latest challenge along with inspiration from my fellow teamies here.

Merry Christmas everyone:
