It is Wynn's turn to choose the theme for CD Sunday and she has chosen 'Punch it out'. There are lots of ideas for this challenge but I decided to take it quite literally with these two characters from Dover Press Clip Art CD The Gibson Girls.
I've given them some colour using Spectrum Noir pencils.
The backing paper is from Polkadoodles Pretty Tuff CD which has some lovely papers on it and I matted the layers onto kraft card. I then used a couple of dies to cut out the stars and layered these around the images. I finished off with a ribbon and bow made with raffia.
I hope you will enjoy this challenge and join in. Don't forget to use something from a CD and tell us which you used.
My fellow teamies have lots of inspiration for you at CD Sunday Challenge Blog.
Fantastic image for the guys, love the vintage feel to the card and the die cut stars add just enough bling
ReplyDeleteI love your take on the theme Jocelyn! And the backing paper makes it look as if they're 'seeing stars' after being punched!

ReplyDeleteGreat male card, Lovely old fashioned image, I think if they punched me like that I would be seeing stars. Great take on the theme
ReplyDeleteA brilliant card Jocelyn, a great take on the theme.

Great CD Jocelyn. Did you buy that on one of our Covent Garden Trips? I miss those.

It is indeed one that I got when we were in Covent Garden. I've got quite a few on my book shelf. Happy days! x
DeleteThey were indeed. When we are all better we must do it again. xx
DeleteThat's a CD I've not heard of before - it looks useful and you've done a "knockout" job with it!
