This week Meg has chosen Christmas flowers/foliage for her theme at CD Sunday and I decided I would move away from a traditional card with this wooden fairy door. The base is plain wood and purchased from The Range.
I started by painting the whole thing with a slightly watered down acrylic paint so that some of the grain from the wood still showed through.
While it was drying I printed off some images from the Debbie Moore Christmas Fairies CD. The die cut Merry Christmas on the back of the door is one by Crafters' Companion.
I added gems and glitter to the flowers and berries.
Merry Christmas everyone!
WOW Jocelyn - I didn't guess that it was a 'real' fairy door! You've decorated it really lovely and I like the idea of the grain showing through the paint. Great cutting out of the images too.
