Another new challenge for CD Sunday and it's my turn to choose the theme and provide a prize so I hope you will be able to join us this time around.
I've used Victorian Romance CD by Joanna Sheen. This is an old CD but has some lovely images and backing papers on it. I matted the backing paper and the main image onto brown card after distressing the edges of the paper. I love this as forget me nots (Myosotis) are some of my favourite flowers, partly for the lovely blue colour but also for the meaning of the flowers.
- In 15th-century Germany, it was supposed that the wearers of the flower would not be forgotten by their lovers.
- In medieval times, it was often worn by ladies as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love.
I have added a lace border and used a die cut that came from Crafter's Companion Advent Calendar 2017, cut once in green and then again in blue. Blue flowers were cut out and stuck on top then stuck to lace and each gem added separately for the centres of the flowers. I then used two heart die cuts in one corner.
I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's day but this theme would also be nice for a Mother's Day card or just to send some love to a friend.
I love forget me nots too, beautiful image and card
