We're all going green and Recycling this week at CD Sunday. We have lots of inspiration for you from my very talented teamies so do please go and take a look.
My backing paper of raindrops is taken from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse Inserts CD. I used two different spellbinders die shapes to make an apperture in which I've done some paper weaving. I used the insides of old envelopes that I trimmed and cut into strips to then weave for the background design. I then stamped a cute image and used a paper piecing technique to make her clothes and umbrella, again using old envelopes.
To finish off I've stamped the words "When life gives you a rainy day ..... play in the puddles!"
One last thing ...... lots of blingy flowers.
I'm also entering this in Divas by Design - Bling it up.
I had my first attempt at paper weaving this week (to enter Deb's challenge). Great way to use up envelopes Jocelyn! Your card is great and you'd never guess it was 'recycled'!
