Going round in circles with CD Sunday

Another week has flown by and time does just keep going round and round which is the inspiration for my card this week. It is Team B's turn this week at CD Sunday Challenge Blog and it was my turn to choose the theme which is 'Going round in circles'. I hope you have lots of fun with this one.

Here is my interpretation:

I've used a 7 x 7 card which is fast becoming my new favourite card size/shape. I used two different backing papers from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion CD. I started by covering the whole card with the clocks backing paper. I then cut a square of the mottled blue paper to leave a nice border of the bottom layer. I then used a Crafter's Companion embossing folder for the clock background which I then rubbed over with Faded Denim Distress Ink. I then used a Tim Holtz die to cut out the distressed clock face and the hands and used the same ink to colour it. I then used a Marianne die for the other two clock faces and used distress ink to colour these. The inner clock face has a small amount of black soot distress ink rubbed over the surface to make the numbers stand out. I used a blue metallic pen to colour the hands of the clock. I then cut a circle from black cordinations and rubbed over the edges to reveal the blue core and then mounted my clock face into this using a fancy brad. I then stuck the clock to the card using tape. This has left the hands free to be moved to whatever time I want. I then just added a peel off alphabet for the sentiment.

Do visit CD Sunday Challenge Blog this week and join in the fun. I will have a small prize for the winner this week as it is my theme.

  1. Brilliant card Jocelyn. The clock in the centre looks great. I like the idea of 7 x 7 cards. Sometimes a 6 x 6 is just a tad too small but then an 8 x 8 is a big jump. Can you get 7 x 7 envelopes for them?
