Springtime
Now the clocks have gone forward heralding the start of spring I'm looking forward to seeing the apple blossom on my trees start to bloom. I've made this card to get in the mood using Jenny's sketch at CD Sunday this week. It is the turn of the A Team who have some lovely cards to inspire you.
I used a backing paper from Joanna Sheen's Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady CD. There are some beautiful images and papers and I've chosen this one for my card. I used a calligraphy pen to edge the paper and stuck this to an A5 base card. I used an A5 card from Clarity and built up my design using a set of Hobby Art clear stamps, masking the birds and then adding the branches. I then used a Clarity moon mask and coloured in the background using alcohol pens. I then removed the masks and coloured everything in. Next I took an oval die and cut three panels. I edged these with the gold calligraphy pen. I then cut two swirls from a Magnolia die and stuck these to the card leaving the end tendrils unstuck until I had added my bird panels. I found some little white paper flowers in my stash and added just a touch of pink and a pink pearl for the centres.

A lovely interpretation of the theme Jocelyn and such a lot of beautiful work. As you know I am not fond of sketches so I am enjoying looking as those made by others.
