Recycling

We're all going green and Recycling this week at CD Sunday. We have lots of inspiration for you from my very talented teamies so do please go and take a look.

My backing paper of raindrops is taken from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse Inserts CD. I used two different spellbinders die shapes to make an apperture in which I've done some paper weaving. I used the insides of old envelopes that I trimmed and cut into strips to then weave for the background design. I then stamped a cute image and used a paper piecing technique to make her clothes and umbrella, again using old envelopes.

To finish off I've stamped the words "When life gives you a rainy day ..... play in the puddles!"

One last thing ...... lots of blingy flowers.

Wings and Legs

Our theme at CD Sunday this week is Wings and Legs and I've chosen this image from Card Creations Plus CD - A Touch of Magic from Linda Ravenscroft.

The border punch is a Martha Stewart one. The die cut ivy leaves are a Marianne die. The main image is framed with a nestie die. Paper flowers coloured with alcohol pens and finished off with bakers twine and hat pins.

L is for .... Lavender Fairy

Our theme at CD Sunday this week is L for ..... so that should give everyone lots of ideas. There are lots of 'L for's ' by my fellow teamies here and I think you will agree it covers quite a few ideas but I'm sure you will think of lots more.

I used one my favourite size cards for this card (7" x 10"). I used backing papers from Crafters Companion Flower Fairies Friends CD from the Lavender Fairy section. I used a Crafters Companion rubber stamp for the main image and used alcohol pens to colour her in. The die cut shapes are Spellbinders Nestabilities.

A La Mode

Good morning. Well here we are, Sunday again. Where did that last week disappear to?

This week at CD Sunday our theme is A La Mode and my teamies and I can't wait to see what lovely designs you all come up with.

As this is the first Sunday in February we have a lovely sponsor for our challenge and the image on my card is a clue. It is of course Ooh La La Creations and we have all used images their lovely new CD Shoes in Bloom 2.

You can of course interpret our theme however you like as long as you use something from a CD in your design so please do go on over to CD Sunday to join in the fun.

"Yukky Love Stuff "

We have some beautiful papers for you to download over at Debbees Challenge Blog for this month. The theme is "Yukky Love Stuff" so why not go over and have a look at the projects the rest of the DT have made for you this month.

I decided to make a shaker card using micro beads which make a fabulous swishy noise. The punched border along the bottom is a Martha Stewart punch and I have used a narrow silk ribbon tied in a double bow.
